You only get one shot!

I find it very interesting that anything and everything that heals, liberates, educates, and uplifts a people is considered "controversial". Don't you? Think about it. The people in your life seem to lose their individual and collective minds when you make a change in your lifestyle that goes against the grain.

Some of my favorite OMG moments include:

1) "I don't always vote Democrat/Republican. I vote my interests."

2) "I am going to stop relaxing my hair and just go natural."

3) "No, thanks. I am a vegetarian/vegan."

4) "My daughter doesn't go to public school. We are homeschoolers."

5) "Not eating/drinking until the sun goes down. I am fasting for the next thirty days. It's Ramadan."

6) "Flu shot? I'll pass. Haven't had the flu in decades."

7) "We don't immunize."

Wait. Say what now? You MUST to take your flu shot every year and you MUST keep up with those immunizations. If you don't, the entire human race will be wiped out. Not so. Vaccines and the like have only been around about 200 years. Guess what? We are still here.

While we push the ideal that we live in a free-thinking society, our culture really isn't as endowed and empowered as we pretend to be. Somehow, using your brain makes you a rebel. There is a stigma associated with questioning anything.

We must be mindful that there is a much greater agenda pulling the strings of public opinion. The Wizard is behind the curtain--to find Him, pay attention to the laws that are passed to protect the bottom line of our biggest industries (Big Pharma and the food industry). Simply put, just follow the money trail.

I am going to curtail my commentary and offer you some resources that will help you make an informed decision about vaccinations. Check these out and decide for yourself. You only get one shot at this life. It's God-given. Don't let anybody tell you that it's not.

Getting Well: Are you ready for love again?

It is no secret that roughly 50% of all marriages in this country end in divorce. And divorce rates for second marriages are even higher. The latter has, in part, been attributed to rebound dating which has been known to prevent you from healing emotionally.

It is important to take some time to reconnect with yourself, do some self-examination, and discover what you want and need out of life. Doing this work may help you make better choices in your next relationship. Sounds reasonable, right? You are not the same person you were 5, 10, or even 20 years ago. It stands to reason that your potential mate should support who you are today and who you strive to be in the future.

What you may not have considered, however, are the other areas of your life that need some time and attention. Divorce can be ugly and the process can be long and arduous. Consider the tension, fighting, financial stress, custody battles, relocation, and interruption of daily routines. The dissolution of a union that you thought would last well into "happily-ever-after" has some alarming effects on your overall health and wellness.

According to an article that appears in Prevention Magazine, "8 Surprising Ways Divorce Affects Your Health", you might experience some or all of the following:

1) Anxiety
2) Drastic Weight Change
3) Metabolic Syndrome
4) Depression
5) Cardiovascular Disease
6) Substance Abuse
7) Insomnia
8) Chronic Health Problems and Mobility Issues

Let me be frank. Divorce can send you straight up out of your right mind. The goal here is to find some balance. Give yourself permission to mourn the loss. See your doctor and address any health issues you may have. Eat well, hydrate, exercise, and get good sleep. Engage in activities that you enjoy. Be social. Breathe. Meditate. Pray. Atone. Set new goals for yourself.

Whatever you do, take your time and take care of yourself. Your happiness depends on it!

Do you want to win?

Winners don't quit. They find ways to challenge themselves constantly. Winners attack their weaknesses rather than cower and make excuses. They fight through adversity and seek to solve their problems.
They never underestimate their opponents and they are their own worst critics. These people tap into their God-power. They embrace failure as part of the learning process. They focus on being better than yesterday.
If you are a winner, you will want winners in your inner circle. If you want to be a winner, you will do the same. The catch is that you must be ready to do the work. To win, you must be willing to change. You must be willing to let go of what was, accept what is, and be open to whatever will be.
So if you are not ready to be challenged and improve yourself, leave these folk alone. Don't invite them into your average life. They won't stay long. Rather, sit back and watch. Take good notes. And AIM LOWER.
